Gasaway Goes Back to the Bench

City Court Judge Grace Bennett Gasaway has been re-elected in the 7^th Ward for a fifth term. Gasaway, a 24-year incumbent, was re-elected by a narrow margin against first-time candidate John Watts of Hammond. Gasaway was limited in her ability to campaign after she faced a medical emergency this fall. Diagnosed with leukemia, Gasaway spent much of the campaign season in medical seclusion while she received treatments for the disease.
