A crowd was on hand for the Hammond City Council meeting last night, with an agenda that covered contentious personnel issues involving the current chief of police and also regulatory steps that needed to be taken to affirm millage votes that were just passed.
None of that was addressed though because, to the obvious frustration of those on hand, the meeting lacked a quorum. Kip Andrews, Devon Welles and Sam Divatorrio were not present. The meeting and the actions that needed to be taken, will have to be rescheduled at a later date.
