Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said DOTD will close a portion of LA 1054 next week to replace a cross drain. Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said crews will be working on a section of LA 1054 that is located approximately .4 miles north of its intersection with LA 16. The roadway will be closed from approximately 7 a.m. on Monday, July 20, until 5 p.m. on Friday, July 24, weather permitting. Traffic will be detoured north to LA 10 during this closure.
Miller said the cross drain work is one of many road projects planned for next week. In addition to the DOTD project, the parish contractor has the following work scheduled, weather permitting. On Tuesday, July 21, crews will be paving Mooney Avenue and 3rd Street. On Wednesday, July 22, paving continues on 3rd Street, East Hanson, Barnes, Falcon, and School Section Road. On Thursday, July 23, the contractor will pave Falcon, Barnes, School Section, and Barringer Drive. On Friday, July 24, crews will pave Barringer Drive and N. 7th Street.
All work will be posted on the day of construction.
