The STPSO Marine Division located and recovered a body believed to be that of William Segrave while searching Saturday morning in Lake Pontchartrain.
Members of the Marine Division searched, with the assistance of Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries, the U.S. Coast Guard and family members, until dark Friday and resumed the search Saturday morning. The body was recovered at approximately noon Saturday near the I-10 Twin Spans. It was turned over to the St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office, who will do a positive identification and provide a cause and manner of death.
65 YO William Segrave left his residence on Carr Drive in his boat Thursday afternoon. Family members became concerned Friday morning when they located his boat, still in gear but unoccupied, near the base of the Highway 11 train bridge, and they contacted the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office.
