Late Tuesday night Deputies with the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Patrol Division responded to reports of shots fired near the intersection of E. Blackcat Road and Highway 1065 in Independence.
Upon arrival, it was learned that a drive-by shooting occurred and approximately 15 shots were fired; striking a vehicle multiple times.
Deputies were able to establish and secure a crime scene before contacting detectives.
Upon arrival, TPSO Detectives began the investigation and were able to obtain video surveillance footage determining a vehicle of interest. Pictures of that vehicle have been posted on TPSO social media.
