
Children’s Advocacy Center – Hope House, an independent nonprofit dedicated to ending the cycle of child abuse on the Northshore, will honor seven local “Champions” at the second annual Champions for Children Breakfast, presented by the IJN Foundation (In Jesus’ Name), on Wednesday, April 19 from 7:30-9:30AM at Fleur De Lis Event Center in Mandeville.
Nominated by members of the community, these seven award winners are everyday heroes making an impact in the lives of children and families on the Northshore.
This year’s Champions for Children award winners include: Kim Carver, Senior Vice President, Gulf Coast Bank and Trust; Co-founder, Crossroads NOLA; Stacie Schrieffer LeBlanc, JD, Med, Co-Founder, The UP Institute; Katie Robbins, Detective, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office; Ashley Jones, Child Protection Investigator, Louisiana Department of Children & Family Services; Shane Venezia, Personal trainer, husband and father; Ron Smith, Site Director, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Louisiana; and Bailey Burdette (Youth Champion), Sophomore at Franklinton High School
