A portion of LA 443 just north of River Road will be closed this week so state crews can replace a failing cross drain.
DOTD announces that LA 443 will be closed in both directions at a location approximately four-tenths of a mile north of River Road (or roughly six-tenths of a mile south of the Tangipahoa River bridge) starting Tuesday, Sept. 28, and continuing through Friday, Oct. 1, weather permitting.
This is considered an emergency repair.
No traffic will be allowed through the construction zone during this work period.
Detour signs will be posted.
