The City of Hammond has added an extra Recycling Collection Day this month, scheduled for Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., in addition to the regular collection on Saturday, June 7.
Residents are reminded to enter the site via Falcon Drive by the traffic light, proceed behind Eastside Collision, and use the side gate on the west side.
Only clean and properly prepared recyclables will be accepted, including aluminum/tin cans, paper, cardboard, and certain plastics—while items like glass, plastic bags, Styrofoam, and food-contaminated materials are strictly prohibited.
Recycling should never be left by closed gates, and the site is not open for drop-offs on any other days.
