The Tangipahoa School System asked parents to please take a moment to examine the two calendar options for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year and help decide which one works best.
The deadline to submit a vote for the school calendar is February 11, 2022, at midnight.
The primary differences in the two calendars are:
Option 1: 4 Professional Development days before the first day of school and the Christmas holiday begins on Dec. 23rd (1/2 day). Teachers return on the 9th of January for a Professional Development day and students on Tuesday.
Option 2: 3 Professional Development days before the first day of school and the Christmas holiday begins on December 21st (1/2 day). The teachers return on Thursday, January 5th with a PD day. Friday, January 6th will also be a Professional Development day for teachers. Students return Monday, January 9th.
