
With the weather uncertain St Tammany Schools announced that Friday would be a distance learning day and activities canceled for all STPPS schools.

Tangipahoa Parish School Superintendent Melissa Stilley said the district will hold classes remotely today. Stilley said after consulting with Tangipahoa’s Office of Homeland Security and the National Weather Service, and with the forecast calling for potentially hazardous road conditions early Friday, they decided to make it a full virtual day for students. All in-person classes are suspended for the day. Students should check their tangischools email or their virtual classroom on Friday for information regarding their assignments from teachers.
Livingston Parish Public School System said that due to possibility of winter weather tonight during the early morning hours of Friday, Jan 21, and the threat of lingering ice until noon over the vast majority Livingston Parish, Livingston Parish schools will be closed on Friday, Jan 21. They will reopen on Monday, Jan. 24.
