The governor is expected to announce whether or not Louisiana will remain in a modified version of Phase 2 or move to a different phase. His current order expires at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday.
Gov. Edwards will also discuss the state’s vaccination efforts after the Johnson & Johnson-manufactured coronavirus vaccine was given emergency federal approval on Saturday. Almost 4 million doses of that vaccine is currently being shipped out to healthcare providers across the U.S. Officials with the Louisiana Department of Health say they expect the state to receive about 35,000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson-manufactured vaccine this week.
