The Hammond City Council held a meeting regarding the potential rezoning of a piece of property near the Hammond Airport for a Medline Distribution Facility. Medline intended to build a facility in St Tammany. When that application process got bogged down, they attempted to relocate to Hammond. Last night the City Council approved the rezoning motion and a motion to annex land associated with the project so the Medline project on Industrial Park Road moves forward.
