Mandeville Police Department arrested of 36 YO Ryan Hurst for the murder of 71YO Gregory Mestayer.
Mestayer was found dead in his Mandeville home on July 16 with his vehicle missing. Detectives think that Hurst drove the car from the area for several weeks before the body was discovered.
According to police, the car has not yet been recovered.
Police say upon his arrest, Hurst fully confessed to the murder and theft of the vehicle.
Hurst was arrested for first degree murder and theft of a vehicle.
