The St. Tammany Parish Recreation Districts are inviting people to celebrate Parks and Recreation Month this Saturday, July 17th from 3-9 pm, as they showcase the benefits of St. Tammany recreation.
“Celebrate St. Tammany” is a free all-ages festival which will feature Northshore entertainment, including local live music, fireworks, local food trucks, inflatables and more.
Musical guests include from 4:00pm–5:30pm, Amanda Shaw, and from 6:00pm–9:00pm, Rockin’ Dopsie Jr & The Zydeco Twisters.
At 9:00pm there will be a Fireworks show.
Early birds can enjoy running and walking through beautiful Pelican Park and surrounding areas by registering for their 5K Run/Walk on July 17th morning. Participants must register online for the Run/Walk Only at: www.eventbrite.com/e/celebrate-st-tammany-5k-run-walk-tickets-161108320323. Registration/check-in is in front of the Castine Center in Pelican Park 6:15am-6:30am. At 7:00am the Run/Walk Begins.
