
Yesterday, the Louisiana Department of Health reported 515 new #COVID19 cases.
Of those cases, 330 were confirmed and 185 were probable. 98% of the new cases reported were community spread. 2% were in congregate settings. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 29 (22%) and ages 5 and 17 (20%) accounted for the largest portions of the cases. 10 deaths were reported, bringing the current total death count to 9,758.
There were 534 people in hospitals and 78 required ventilators.
The Department reported an additional 102,849 COVID-19 vaccinations administered since the last update. The state has now administered 1,220,563 doses, including 448,730 completed two-dose series. In Region 9, the Northshore, 9.7% have received their complete vaccination. In Region 1, Greater New Orleans, 11.2% have gotten vaccinated.
