A two-day state sales tax holiday, November 20 and 21, will help residents and businesses recovering from recent hurricanes and the pandemic. Louisiana’s 4.45% state sales taxes will not be charged on the first $2,500 of a purchase but it does not cover car, truck and other vehicle purchases. It also does not apply to local sales taxes.
