The Louisiana Department of Health announced that Louisiana has run more than two million tests for the novel coronavirus, and the state has confirmed more than 155,000 cases. There were 499 new cases reported yesterday. Another 21 deaths brought the state’s total to 4,991. The number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients in Louisiana is down 20, at 762, the fewest since the end of June. 762 patients are in hospital and 125 require a ventilator.
