St Tammany Schools say 29,000+ parents and 5,600+ employees shared their thoughts and concerns in their 2020-2021 Planning Survey. They said they are working on making the best decisions for the STPPS community.
Some of the results from that survey, 51% of parents said they would be capable of providing transportation for their children if limitations were put on buses. 75% said their children would still ride a bus if children were required to wear a mask on the bus. 65% of parents said they would be comfortable sending their children to school with the recommended safety protocols in place.
On the employee side of the survey 78% of the districts respondents said they would be comfortable returning to work if officials deemed it was safe for students to return. 28% of the employees said they have underlying health issues that put them in a high risk category. The survey’s extended results can be seen at stpsb.org/coronavirus.
