Over the weekend K-9 Thor took murder suspect Willie Wells into custody at a residence in the Village of Tangipahoa.
He is a suspect in a murder in the Kentwood area.
Willie Elzy Wells, Jr., 32, was wanted on one count each of 1st Degree Murder, Armed Robbery and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Just before 1 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, a shooting was reported at a home in the 26000 block of Mount Hennan Cut Road in the Kentwood area. Antonio Famularo, 42, a resident of the home, was found dead on the scene. During the investigation, detectives determined the incident stemmed from a drug-related dispute and that Wells was the suspect in the case.
