Northshore Humane Society, located on Harrison Ave. in Covington, is excited to invite children ages 6 to 11 to join them for the 2025 summer camps.
Sponsored by Hancock Whitney, this year’s camp will offer a unique opportunity for kids to celebrate companion animals through a series of interactive games, hands-on activities, and the chance to meet animal experts and ambassadors. Campers will also engage in meaningful service projects that benefit the shelter’s homeless animals. Throughout the camp, children will symbolically adopt a shelter pet and have the chance to interact with the dogs and cats at the rescue. NHS summer camp programs are designed to foster a sense of responsibility and respect for animals through inquiry-based and hands-on learning.
Camp runs from the end of May through the beginning of August, Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Before and after care are available for an additional charge. Camp t-shirts are also available for purchase via the registration page. As a non-profit organization that does not receive taxpayer funding, all proceeds from this camp directly benefit the care of homeless animals in our community.
