
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) is assisting the Village of Tangipahoa Police Department (TPD) with a shooting investigation that left two dead and a teen hospitalized. Just before 6 p.m.
Wednesday, March 19, the TPD received a call about multiple victims shot outside of a mobile home on Center Street. Officers arrived to find three men shot. One was pronounced dead on scene and two were transported to area hospitals where one later died. The status of the remaining victim, a teenager under 18, was unknown as of last night.
While this investigation is in its early stages, detectives believe the community is safe and there were no suspects being sought at the time.
TPSO Criminal Investigations detectives are partnering with TPD to get answers about this case, but could use the public’s help to gather additional information.
