Detectives with the St Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Major Crimes Division are investigating after two people were found dead Thursday (October 24) afternoon inside a Slidell-area residence.
At approximately 12:15 p.m. Thursday, STPSO deputies were dispatched to a residence on William Drive in the Bel Aire Subdivision near Slidell after a concerned family member requested a wellness check. Inside the residence, deputies located two deceased individuals, a male and a female, with apparent gunshot wounds.
The bodies of the deceased were turned over to the St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s.
Following proper notification of next of kin, St. Tammany Parish Coroner Dr. Christopher Tape has authorized the release of names in the apparent murder-suicide case near Slidell last week. Randie Williams, 46, and Alicia Walker, 42, were both found dead of apparent gunshot wounds at a Slidell-area home on Thursday afternoon.
The case is presumed to be a murder-suicide, but the Sheriff’s Office is investigating and Dr. Tape will perform autopsies on the decedents on Monday to make official rulings on cause and manner of death.
