
Hammond Kiwanis President Dr. Roy Blackwood presents a check to City Court Clerk of Court Guy Recotta, Jr., to support the 2024 Back to School Bash.
Each year City Court partners with the City of Hammond to provide free backpacks and school supplies for students in Pre-K to 8th Grade. This year’s event will be held on Friday, July 26, from 9 a.m. until noon at Hammond Westside Montessori in Hammond.

And since it’s back to school time, Kristen Williams of First Guaranty Bank presented a check to City Court Judge Britain Sledge to support the 2024 Back to School Bash.
On July 26, Hammond Mayor Pete Panepinto and the City Court will join forces once again to provide free backpacks and school supplies to students in Pre-K to 8th Grade. Judge Sledge said this annual event would not be possible without the generous support of local businesses like First Guaranty Bank and the many civic groups who volunteer at the Back to School.
