U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans announced that 43 YO Christopher Yarbrough of Slidell was sentenced for receipt of child pornography.
According to court documents, the case stemmed from an online Child Sexual Abuse Material (“CSAM”) investigation by the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office. The investigation was referred to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Investigations (“HSI”).
On June 26, 2023, HSI special agents, along with members of the Slidell Police Department and the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, executed a federal search warrant at Yarbrough’s Slidell home where agents arrested him and charged him with receipt of CSAM.
United States District Judge Jane Triche Milazzo sentenced him to one hundred eight (108) months imprisonment, followed by a five (5) year term of supervised release, and $6,000 in restitution. This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation.
