A man was charged with first-degree murder of a mother of four.
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office says Christopher Wilson stabbed Carol Allen to death in Hammond. He was arrested after he called 911 for help with a flat tire.
According to Tangipahoa Parish Chief Jimmy Travis, the 26 YO Wilson knew his victim, 31 YO Carol Allen. Chief Travis says the pair was communicating via social media before he committed this crime. He says Carol called 911 on Saturday afternoon saying she’d been stabbed. Chief Travis says after the murder, Wilson left Hammond Wednesday evening, and then in Natchitoches, Wilson himself called 911 requesting roadside assistance. Deputies say something felt off, so they ran his name and saw he had a warrant for a separate domestic battery charge.
