Slidell’s original marching club and oldest Mardi Gras parade, the Krewe of Mona Lisa and MoonPie (MLMP) is pleased to introduce our theme for 2024, “Homage to Bill Murray!”
The parade is moving back to carnival season for their 40th anniversary of the krewe. This arts parade will march through Olde Towne Slidell on February 2, 2024, Groundhogs Day, at 7 PM.
This year’s royals, Queen Sonia Valencia and King Michael Reed, were crowned on November 17, 2023 during the MLMP Olde Towne Pub Crawl.
The Krewe invites all to participate in their own way, whether it be as a member, marcher, or a sponsor. Flambeaux torch bearers march for free.
Tickets to the Red Beans and Rice Ball on January 5 at The Venue are also on sale, and free to paid members.
For details and online registration, please visit our website (moonpieparade.com).
The Krewe of Mona Lisa and MoonPie promotes the arts, Olde Towne Slidell, and good humor.
