On November 19, 2023, at approximately 2:20 am, detectives with the Hammond Police Department issued an arrest warrant for 23 YO Jack Smith of Ponchatoula.
Smith was identified by witnesses as one of the shooters from the incident that occurred at Legend’s Sports Bistro & Billiards.
The arrest warrant includes the charges of two counts of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, one count of Illegal Discharge of a Weapon, and 5 counts of Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property.
On November 20, 2023, HPD, along with the assistance of the Ponchatoula Police Department, attempted to arrest Smith at his residence and his place of employment, but were unable to find him.
