A Bogalusa man was arrested Friday night after suspected fentanyl was found in his vehicle during a routine traffic stop.
Shortly after 10 p.m. Friday, a criminal patrol deputy with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s 4th District was patrolling on Louisiana Highway 21 in Bush when he observed a black Chevrolet Colorado crossing the center line and conducted a traffic stop.
The driver, David Stucker of Bogalusa, told the deputy he was on his way to Covington, but provided conflicting information.
Stucker consented to a search of the truck, and suspected fentanyl and other illicit drugs were located concealed within a backpack behind the front driver’s seat. In all, 66 blue pills which were disguised as oxycodone but suspected to be counterfeit pills containing fentanyl, 4 grams of suspected fentanyl powder, 2 grams of suspected methamphetamine and 40 grams of suspected marijuana were seized.
Stucker was arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center.
