The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a woman after she admitted to setting an abandoned building on fire Sunday evening.
Tiffany Bruno, who was homeless and staying in the Slidell area with a female companion, told STPSO detectives she started the fire that burned the outbuilding of the former Scuttlebutts Club near Slidell.
The two women had been using the outbuilding for storage, and Bruno was attempting to burn the other female’s clothing and property, following a disagreement, when the building caught fire.
Bruno was arrested Wednesday and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center for one count of Simple Arson.
