The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying three suspects in a shoplifting case.
Sheriff Daniel Edwards says detectives are investigating an incident which took place at the Dollar General on Airport Road where a subject is seen on surveillance footage donning a face mask after shoplifting from the store.
The incident, which took place on August 18, 2023, shows three subjects entering the Dollar General and proceeding to walk around the store. The first subject, a white male wearing a gray shirt with black shorts, is seen entering the store alone. Shortly thereafter, a white female wearing black leggings and a gray shirt enters with a second white male seen wearing a gray muscle shirt, orange shorts, and has a blue shirt thrown over his shoulder. After approximately 10 minutes, the subjects exit the store and proceed to a white Ford F-150 parked near the store entrance. In the camera footage, the female is seen walking around the back of the vehicles and proceeds to the opposite side of the building. The male with the orange shorts can be seen through the windshield of the vehicle as he dons a face mask before exiting the vehicle once more. The subject then proceeds to the side off the building where the female walked, and the truck follows behind. After about five more minutes goes by, the masked subject is seen once more in the camera view as he puts the blue shirt, and then retreats back to the side of the building. The truck then leaves the parking lot.
Sheriff Edwards says detectives believe the subjects may have been planning to commit a robbery. He further asks anyone able to identify the subjects to contact Detective Bobby Bradberry at 985-902-2045, OR if you wish to remain anonymous, please call Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa’s anonymous tip line at 1.800.554.5245 or visit www.tangicrimestoppers.com and click on the P3 Tips icon or Submit A Tip!
