
Slidell Police are asking for information to help find the person(s) responsible for seriously injuring a pedestrian during a hit and run accident.
Around 8:20pm, on Thursday, March 23, Slidell Police responded to the area of Robert Blvd. and Audubon Dr. to investigate a hit and run accident involving a pedestrian.
A woman, who was exercising by walking along the sidewalk, was seriously injured by a speeding car that cut through the parking lot from Robert Blvd. to Audubon Dr. (in front of Pizza Hut). The car struck the woman, leaving her with serious injuries to her head and leg.
Without rendering any assistance, the vehicle fled the area.
Due to her injuries, the victim was transported to a local trauma center.
The vehicle is described to be an older model white Toyota sedan (either a Corolla or a Camry) with a damaged passenger-side headlight and turn signal, damaged passenger-side mirror, and front-end damage near the passenger-side. The vehicle also appears to have all black wheels.
