Two missing children and their dog were found in a wooded area near Folsom after a four-and-a-half-hour search last night.
Both girls, under the age of 10, and the dog, a Golden Retriever, were reported to be healthy and safe.
Louisiana State Police and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office offered the use of their helicopters for the search.
Meanwhile, the St. Tammany Sheriff’s Office used drones, ATVs, K9s and numerous deputies as they searched the area of N. Willie Road.
The girls were last seen playing in their front yard at approximately 5 p.m. Monday. Sometime after that an urgent call swept across social media and through local broadcast media saying the girls and the dog could not be located.
