The Tangipahoa Chamber and Northshore Media Group will host a candidates’ meet and greet and Hammond mayoral forum Monday, Oct. 3, in the Southeastern Student Union Grand Ballroom.
Free and open to the public, the event will begin with a meet and greet from 5-6 p.m. where candidates from all local contested races will be able to share campaign materials while meeting the public.
Introduction of candidates for the Hammond City Council and Tangipahoa Parish School Board will begin at 6 p.m. with each candidate having two minutes to speak.
The Hammond mayoral forum will begin at 6:45 p.m. with candidates answering a series of questions on topics important to business leaders and community members.
The event will air live on Tangi 96.5.
