St. Tammany voters in the Slidell area overwhelmingly approved the renewal of St. Tammany Fire Protection District #1’s property tax.
According to unofficial returns, participating voters approved the renewal by a 72-28 percent margin.
In Slidell’s Chief of Police race Randy Fandal was reelected with 82% of the vote.
79% of the voters approved of the renewal for Fire District 9 in the Bush area and 83% approved the renewal for Fire District 12 in unincorporated Covington.
