After the latest crime stats show his agency solving crimes at or above the national average, St Tammany Sheriff Randy Smith said he was extremely pleased with the hard work and dedication of all the employees who contributed to another year of successful crime fighting.
The stats show that the agency continues to solve crimes at more than double the national average regarding violent and non – violent crimes.
Sheriff Smith said his administration will continue to work tirelessly when it comes to providing the deputies and detectives with the best and most updated crime fighting tools needed. He said keeping crime rates down was a partnership between law enforcement and the community they serve.
