Yesterday, St. Tammany Corporation and St. Tammany Parish President Mike Cooper were pleased to announce the establishment of Avenues Recovery, a high-end substance related rehabilitation facility in St. Tammany Parish.
The project will consist of an $11.7 million investment, the majority of which will go towards the rehabilitation of a site in the Covington area which has been out of commerce and unoccupied for the past 5 years.
The project will create 93 full time jobs and almost $4 Million in new, permanent annual payroll.
Avenues Recovery currently has over 400 employees nationwide and specializes in offering patient-centric clinical treatment. They boast a detox 30-day readmission rate of 3% and take pride in working with patients to create transition plans that support re-integration into daily independent living that includes volunteer work, accountability, demonstrating the ability to use clinical tools in high-risk situations, and fulfilling responsibilities as it relates to legal, financial, family or other obligations.
