Tangipahoa Parish School Superintendent Melissa Stilley announced that all Tangipahoa Parish public schools will remain closed through Tuesday, Aug. 31, due to the impact of Hurricane Ida.
Stilley said district officials will evaluate campuses for any hurricane-related damage as soon as it is safe to do so.
The Tangipahoa Parish School Board will hold an emergency meeting via Zoom to address procedures the district will follow in making any emergency repairs to schools once the storm moves through the area.
Stilley said updates will be posted to the www.TangiSchools.org website and on the district’s social media channels. She said students and employees will also receive updates via their TangiSchools email accounts.
