Slidell is set to sizzle as the Louisiana Seafood Cook-Off (LASCO) makes its Northshore debut on Friday, June 27, 2025, at The Harbor Center.
For the first time, this prestigious statewide culinary competition will be held outside of South Louisiana, drawing food enthusiasts to witness 12 of the state’s top chefs compete for the crown of King or Queen of Louisiana Seafood. The winner will advance to represent the state at a national seafood showdown in New Orleans later this summer.
The event kicks off with the Tammany Taste of Summer tasting experience, offering ticket holders—ages 21 and up—a chance to sample dishes from 15 chefs participating in the upcoming Tammany Taste of Summer promotion. Hosted by Chef Cory Bahr and food personality Gerald Gruenig, the evening promises top-tier seafood, live cooking action, and vibrant Louisiana culture.
Tickets are $65 and must be purchased by June 26.
Out-of-town guests can take advantage of special hotel rates available from June 26 to 29 by mentioning the Cook-Off when booking.
The event is presented by the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board in partnership with tourism and restaurant industry leaders.
