
Following the Friday evening capture of escaped inmate Tra’Von Johnson, 22, in Amite, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office has made multiple arrests and continues its investigation.
Johnson was swiftly transferred by helicopter to Angola by Louisiana State Police, where he will remain until his murder trial.
Dameon Booth, 37, found with Johnson, was arrested on multiple charges, including Principle to Simple Escape, while Trevon Wallace, 28, already rebooked for aiding the escape, now faces additional charges for damaging his new cell.
Authorities thank the public for crucial tips and confirm that the person who initially questioned Johnson’s custody status was not involved. The search for others potentially involved in the escape continues.
