The Tangipahoa Chamber invites business leaders to two events to ensure they have the opportunity to understand constitutional amendments on the March 29 ballot and hear directly from elected leaders before the legislative session.
On Wednesday, March 12, the Tangipahoa Chamber will welcome Dr. Steven Procopio, President of the Public Affairs Research Council (PAR), as the featured speaker for a Tangipahoa Chamber Breakfast. Dr. Procopio will break down the four constitutional amendments appearing on the March 29 ballot, including a proposal to rewrite Article VII, the tax and spending section of the constitution. With Article VII being nearly as long as the rest of the constitution combined, Dr. Procopio’s expert analysis will provide essential clarity on what these amendments mean for businesses, the community, and the state.
The highly anticipated Tangipahoa Chamber Legislative Luncheon will take place on Wednesday, April 2 and allow the delegation to share key priorities and answer questions from business members. Attendees will hear firsthand from Senator Beth Mizell, Senator Dr. Bill Wheat, Representative Nicholas Muscarello, Jr., Representative Kim Landry Coates, and Representative Shane Mack. Both events will be held at Oak Knoll Country Club in Hammond and require pre-registration.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available for businesses looking to connect with local leaders and stakeholders.
