
The Slidell Police Department arrested 24 YO Nicholas Talamo of Slidell on Monday afternoon, following an investigation into allegations made against him regarding inappropriate and indecent behavior with a juvenile.
Nicholas Talamo, who has served as a volunteer baseball coach for Northshore High School for the last several years, became the subject of an investigation, late Sunday evening.
The Slidell Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division received information that Talamo was allegedly engaging in inappropriate behavior with an underage juvenile student. During the investigation, Slidell Police Investigators discovered evidence to support that Talamo was inappropriately having a relationship with an 18 YO student. He was also engaging in inappropriate conversations and exchanging explicit photographs with another underage juvenile student.
The next day, Slidell Police investigators secured arrest warrants for Nicholas Talamo, and booked him into the Slidell City Jail with: Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile, Computer-Aided Solicitation, and Prohibited Acts Between an Educator and Student.
Frank Jabbia, Superintendent of the St. Tammany Parish Public School System said the safety of students is always their top priority, and this behavior would not be tolerated on any level.
The investigation is still on-going, and more charges may be filed at a later date.
