On Friday Southeastern President William Wainwright shared information about an overdose medical incident on campus.
He said due to the fast response of Southeastern Police, the person’s life was saved. Additionally, this incident resulted in a cooperative, multi-agency investigation, which led to an arrest of a non-student for drug possession.
A multi-agency press conference was held Friday to recognize the multi-agency collaboration.
President Wainwright said he was sharing this information to keep the university family informed in the event of news media related to the incident. He said it clearly demonstrates the success and expertise of the police officers on campus and the cooperative relationship they have with regional law enforcement.
