
The St. Tammany Parish Public School System’s Adapted Physical Education Department will host the annual High School Exceptional Games at Slidell High School’s Football Stadium on Friday, March 22.
High school student athletes with exceptionalities from Covington High, Fontainebleau High, Hannan High, Lakeshore High, Mandeville High, Northshore High, Pearl River High, Salmen High, Slidell High, and St. Paul’s School will be competing.
The games will kick off at 9:45 a.m. beginning with the parade of athletes and lighting of the torch, followed by four competitive games. The event will end with an award ceremony.
Approximately 190 high school students with exceptionalities will compete in the javelin throw, 50-meter dash, lawn toss, and Frisbee golf.
Slidell High School’s student clubs and athletic teams will be volunteering to make it a successful and fun day for all participants.
Parents, family members and interested community members are invited to attend and cheer on the athletes from the stands.
