A Madisonville-area junior high student has been charged with Menacing after he wrote a “kill list” and showed it to other students before telling them he planned to bring a knife to school on Monday.
The other students did the right thing and informed a teacher.
The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s SRO working at the school was then contacted.
The 14 YO boy was issued a summons for Menacing and was released on a custodial agreement to appear in court.
St. Tammany Parish Sheriff Randy Smith said they will continue to work with schools and investigate any and all threats made at schools or to the students and faculty who attend them.
