The City of Slidell says over the next several weeks, Norfolk Southern Railroad will be performing maintenance work on the railroad tracks in the Slidell area.
Several railroad crossings are tentatively scheduled to be closed for repairs, including: Bayou Liberty / LA 433 on Wednesday, January 10; and Fremaux Avenue on Thursday, January 11.
These closures will affect traffic, so drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes if possible. Other closures will be announced once Norfolk Southern Railroad notifies the City of Slidell.
