A 13 YO Madisonville-area girl was arrested Friday on a misdemeanor menacing charge after she told another classmate she was going to “shoot up” her junior high school.
Deputies with the St. Tammany Sheriff’s Office became aware of the incident after the other student informed a teacher at the school. The girl was issued a summons for Menacing and was released on a custodial agreement to appear in court.
St. Tammany Sheriff Randy Smith said they will continue to work with schools and investigate any and all threats made at the schools or to the students and faculty who attend them.
