
Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards says the Sheriff Edwards’ Christmas Crusade for Children will return.
The Christmas Crusade for Children is designed to help Tangipahoa Parish families who are in need of assistance to make their child’s Christmas complete.
The program supports families with children between 2 and 8 years of age.
Applications must be submitted in person no later than 2 p.m., on Monday, November 13, 2023, at the Sheriff’s office in Amite, located at 313 East Oak Street. Applicants must be residents of Tangipahoa Parish, and must present a valid ID a current utility bill (gas, electric, water).
Toy pickup will be held on December 11 and 12 at Pride Roofing in Hammond.
Citizens and organizations who wish to monetarily support to the campaign are encouraged to do so no later than Friday, December 1 to ensure all funds are available to fulfill this year’s needs. Checks should be made payable to Sheriff Edwards’ Christmas Crusade for Children. Checks can be dropped off at the Sheriff’s office in Amite or the Sheriff’s office substation in Hammond. Checks can also be mailed to Sheriff Edwards’ Christmas Crusade for Children, 15475 West Club Deluxe Road, Hammond, LA 70403.
