The NSpire Startup Slam, the Northshore’s first-ever pitch competition, will be tonight as four dynamic startups—Kinkz, Unique XP, 11th Haus, and uLand—go head-to-head in a live showdown with a chance to win a prize package of cash and services valued at more than $60,000.
This first-of-its-kind event is a significant milestone for STartUP Northshore, a three-parish regional effort catalyzing entrepreneurship, innovation, and business formation in Tangipahoa, St. Tammany, and Washington Parishes.
Hosted at the historic Columbia Theatre for the Performing Arts, the evening kicks off at 4:30 p.m. with a networking reception, featuring food, refreshing drinks, and live music from The Regg Sanders Jazz Trio—all compliments of the house.
At 6:00 p.m. the Showcase will feature welcome remarks from esteemed partners, including Southeastern Louisiana University President Dr. William Wainwright, Tangipahoa Economic Development Executive Director Ginger Cangelosi, and St. Tammany Corporation CEO Chris Masingill.
A distinguished panel of judges represents leaders in our region, each contributing their wealth of experience and expertise to this competition: Jon Atkinson, CEO, The Idea Village; Caitlin Hunter, Corporate Affairs Representative, Chevron; Marty Mayer, President & CEO, Stirling Properties; Robby Miller, Tangipahoa Parish President, and Sabrina Short, Founder & CEO, NOLAVATE Black.
