It’s been almost two years since Hurricane Ida ripped through Tangipahoa, and Parish President Robby Miller is asking the public’s help in identifying the many hanging utility lines that remain across our area.
Miller is asking the public to take pictures of these lines, which are referred to as “wire debris,” and either text or email the location of these spots to local officials. The parish will collect information on where lines are still hanging and notify the appropriate utility company of the issue.
Parish leaders are monitoring the reports to ensure the wire debris is corrected in a timely manner.
Residents are asked to share images of wire debris and a description of the nearest 9-1-1 location via email at wires@tangipahoa.org or text that info and a photo (if possible) to 985-748-3260.
