The Menge Avenue bridge over I-10 in Harrison County will be closed in BOTH directions starting 12 p.m. Monday, July 10, for approximately 13 months.
Exit and entrance ramps from I-10 will remain open; however, motorists will be unable to access the overpass. The existing bridge will be removed and replaced with a bridge to accommodate five lanes of traffic. Work on the bridge could affect traffic on I-10 at times.
Meanwhile, expect temporary lane closures on I-10 westbound over the East Pearl River bridge in Hancock County for bridge repairs due to a vehicle strike. These temporary lane closures will be necessary until Friday August 11 and have already started creating lengthy delays there at the bridge.
